Dr Mark Taylor, a well renowned laser dermatologist did a split face trial comparing the Gentleyag to the radio frequency (Thermage) and found it to be twice as effective with significantly less patient discomfort. Patients can expect 40-70% improvement with a series of treatments. A series of 3-5 sessions is recommended at 4 week intervals for maximal tightening. This deep penetrating laser works to denature existing collagen deep in the dermal layer and stimulates new collagen formation. It takes 6 months to see the full effect of the treatments and results last up to 2 years.
A Normal session takes about 20 min's after an application of topical anesthetic cream. Since Many of our patients are busy professionals who cannot afford downtime from their busy schedules, this is a wonderful option. There is minimal redness after the procedure which can be easily covered up with makeup.
